About Us
Meet Dave & Jaimie — The passionate farmers behind Highland & Co. Acres, turning dreams into reality one Highland cow at a time.
Our Story Begins
What started as a dream to escape the hustle and bustle of city life has blossomed into something far more meaningful. Dave and Jaimie didn’t just move to the beautiful Washington foothills—they planted roots, built a life, and created a sanctuary where Scottish Highland cattle roam freely across rolling pastures.
From the very first shovel in the ground to being featured on ‘Living Big In a Tiny House,’ our journey has been one of passion, perseverance, and pure love for these gentle giants we call family.
Animal Welfare
Our Highland cows are treated with love, respect, and the highest standards of care. They roam freely in spacious pastures and receive individual attention daily.
Sustainable Farming
We practice regenerative agriculture that works with nature, not against it. Our farming methods support soil health and biodiversity.
Authentic Experiences
From our tiny home accommodations to farm tours, we create genuine connections between our guests and the farming lifestyle.
Community Connection
We believe in building relationships—with our animals, our land, our guests, and our local community in beautiful Kalama, Washington.
Why Highland Cows?
Our Highland cows aren’t just livestock—they’re family members with personalities as unique as their shaggy coats. These Scottish beauties captured our hearts with their gentle demeanor, hardy nature, and those unforgettable faces that make everyone smile.
As registered breeders with the American Highland Cattle Association (AHCA), we’re committed to maintaining the quality and confirmation that makes these animals so special. Every cow has a story, and we love sharing those stories with our guests.
